Natchez, Mississippi – Central Network Retail Group, LLC (CNRG) is proud to announce the addition of Chapel Hill, North Carolina – based Town & Country Hardware as a new partner in the company through the contribution of their operating assets. Town & Country Hardware operates eight hardware stores in Chapel Hill, Raleigh, and Cary. Craig Ward, president of Town and Country Hardware, has also been added to the board of directors at CNRG.
“Craig and his team add a lot of expertise to CNRG while also adding a new market area for us,” said Jimmy R. Smith, chairman of CNRG. “Craig will drive our growth in the Carolinas as well as help us improve assortments focused on the affluent and female consumer. This furthers our goal at CNRG to grow profitably by partnering with solid retail operators and expanding into new areas and with new retail formats.”
“Craig and his stores are a very exciting addition to CNRG. Town & Country caters to an affluent customer base and is successful in a more densely populated, suburban setting,” said Boyden Moore, president of CNRG. “Craig‘s experience with his stores will help us drive improvements and growth across all of our brands, most notably with Elliott’s.”
“As the independent channel continues to evolve, this merger is the logical next step that will create substantial value for our customers and staff. Town & Country is excited to be a part of the CNRG concept and the future growth opportunities that awaits,” said Ward.
