Natchez, Mississippi – Central Network Retail Group, LLC (CNRG) is proud to announce the acquisition of the operating assets of W.T. Harvey Lumber of Columbus, Georgia. Harvey currently operates two stores – one in Columbus and one in Phenix City, Alabama. The company was established in 1863 and is one of the oldest lumberyards in the country. W.T. Harvey will continue to be managed by the founder’s great-great grandson, Bailey Gross, who has been hired by CNRG.
“We are excited about the addition of the W.T. Harvey to our company,” said Jimmy R. Smith, chairman of CNRG. “W.T. Harvey is a great fit with our strategy at CNRG.” Boyden Moore, president of CNRG, added, “This is a good company that recently fell on hard times. Bailey and his team have built great relationships with their customers over the years. We are excited to invest in this opportunity and help improve their ability to take care of their customers’ needs. This will be a great example of the synergy that CNRG was designed to create.”
Gross commented, “We are extremely excited about being a part of the CNRG family and welcome the strengths and leadership that CNRG and its management team bring to our business. It is refreshing to have access to such a great network of people and resources. I personally am most excited about the strong platform from which we will now operate, a platform which provides Harvey Lumber the resources necessary to offer the highest levels of service and value in our region.”
