Natchez, Mississippi – Central Network Retail Group, LLC (CNRG) is proud to announce the acquisition of NFL Building Center located in Daphne, Alabama. The transaction will close on January 1, 2012. In addition to buying the operating assets of the Daphne store, CNRG will also reopen NFL’s Gulf Shores, Ala., location this spring. Doug Gregory, president of Morrison Terrebonne Lumber Center, and his partners will assume operating responsibility of NFL Building Center for CNRG.
“Will Newberry and his partners at NFL Building Center, Jim Fisher and Joe Lovelady, built a great business on the Gulf Coast. We are proud to have the opportunity to add their stores in Daphne and Gulf Shores to our portfolio,” said Boyden Moore, president of CNRG. “We are also glad that Joe Lovelady will stay on with us and work with the CNRG team going forward.” The stores will continue to operate under the NFL Building Center name.
“We are excited about the growth of our Gulf Coast market,” said Jimmy R. Smith, chairman of CNRG. “The acquisition of NFL Building Center fits well with our newest partners from Morrison Terrebonne Lumber Center (based in Houma, La.) both in terms of geography and store format. We continue to look for opportunities to grow CNRG through strategic partnerships and acquisitions.”
